The Spaceport VPS is a Linux virtual private server running on Digital Ocean. It's currently administered by Tanner.
Hosting
The Spaceport VPS currently hosts these services:
- Spaceport (https://my.protospace.ca)
Specs
- 1x E5-2650 vCPU
- 2 GB Memory / 50 GB Disk
- Debian GNU/Linux 10
- floating IP: 104.248.106.136
- actual IP: 178.128.238.55
- private IP: 10.118.0.3
- cost: $10 USD / month
Recovering Access
In the unlikely event that Tanner kicks the bucket, recover access like so:
- Get the directors@protospace.ca DigitalOcean credentials from LastPass
- Log into DigitalOcean
- Select Droplets > spaceport
- Select Access > Reset root password
- A new root password will be emailed to directors@protospace.ca
- Open the web console under the green ON button (not Recovery Console)
- Log in as root
- Find someone that knows Debian / Ubuntu Linux
- Create a Linux user, add your public key, edit /etc/ssh/sshd_config AllowUsers
