Before the Meeting

Post the agenda for the meeting on Spacebar at least 72 hours before the meeting.

An example Agenda can be found here.

Search for any pitches newer than the last members meeting. The date of the last members meeting can be found here

Show up 10 minutes before the meeting to set up the room.

During the Meeting

Your primary job as chair is to:

  • Stick to the Agenda and keep the meeting on track
    • Moderate and cutoff discussion as needed to stay on track
    • Ensure the minute-taker is able to capture discussion before moving on
  • Call for votes (yays, nays and abstentions) and count out vote totals for the minute-taker
  • Operate the screen and pull up information as necessary to facilitate the members meeting
  • Optionally you may also set up a call-in service ahead of time to allow members to join remotely

As chair, you cannot make or second motions.
