Transition Project List

There are currently dozens of projects unclaimed and unsponsored.

The deadline for these transition projects to be finished, removed, or approved for new homes is September 1, 2013.

If you have would like to claim ownership over a project, sponsor it as an item to stay, or add details as to what it's waiting on, feel free to edit. At minimum, sponsoring a project says you intend to be accountable for taking it to completion or removal, and/or pitching it for project storage before the deadline arrives.

If adding new projects, add to the end please.

Projects that are completed, please strikethrough and add STATE and (reason) to end of line ie: - REMOVED, DONE, ABANDONED, SCRAP (please also give reason in brackets if required), rather than deleting, so projects can be referred to be number.

Projects finished as of ~1 year later (July 30, 2014) marked off in red.

This page can be deleted once the new policy is in effect.

1. Drinkbot - Andrew Funk (??) - GONE.
2. Pick & Place Documentation - John Jardine & Mike Hermann sponsors - Aug 15: Documentation being searched for, project wiki page coming - GONE. Abandoned and sold.
3. MaxNC - Waiting on new drivers, drivers have been ordered (Aug 15).
4. James' 3d printer - James Ravenhill plans completion by mid-August, or will remove. GONE. Removed, no longer member.
5. Cupcake printer - AndyL sponsors, would like an update from whoever last worked on it. - OFF-CAMPUS. Andy fixing.
6. Other(?) 3d printer - ?? - GONE.
7. Vinyl Cutter - AndyL sponsors, would like an update. - OFF-CAMPUS. AndyL fixing
8. Large format printer - AndyL sponsors, would like an update. - OFF-CAMPUS. AndyL fixing
9. Aquaponics - Abandoned by Mike B, given okay to be demolished. Aug 26 - Kan helped clean some up. - Cannibalized and/or discarded
10. Pinball machine - Broken/Staying as a feature (?) - FIXED, mostly. Maybe staying.
11. Piano fundraiser - One sold and removed, other also sold and waiting delivery. Money needs to be paid back to auction.
12. TV fundraiser - Some working & waiting selling, some fixed. Alan may know?
13. LN2 Dewars - Zero hold vacuum, James suggests selling or junking but keeping hose.
14. Magnetic tumbler - Kevin/Matt sponsors and will address - OFF-CAMPUS. Matt took home.
15. Laser vac table - Kevin/Matt sponsors, waiting on laser revival
16. Radial arm saw - Matt sponsors, waiting safety, blade, woodshop rebuild. Matt is removing ASAP
17. Pegboard - Matt sponsors, 75% given away, remainder waiting woodshop rebuild. - GONE. Given away and garbaged.
18. Makerfaire sign - Matt sponsors, awaiting paint or plasma cutting and chain - DONE. Used at Makerfaire, hung up on wall
19. Big drilpress repair - Matt sponsors, Nate fixed electrically, works, levers now repaired. - DONE
20. Giant 7#seg displays - - DONE, fixed by Jim.
21. LED printer sign - Removed by Jim, was James'. - REMOVED
22. Video editing workstation (Sun?) - ??
23. Boxes of light ballasts - Andy will try to sell to aquarium people.
24. Countertop dishwasher - Broken, needs diagnosing
25. Liam/Terry's CNC mill - DONE. Terry is now a member, mill is on personal shelf, and mill will be on semi-permanent loan to PS when complete.
26. MAME arcade (documentation) - ??
27. Bay wash sink - ?? to install where the aquaponics is sitting as its the only viable option. - Done-ish. Danny plumbed drain, placed under existing tap.
28. Jim's 6 boxes of drills/toys/etc - ?? - GONE.
29. Scoperta chairs/frames - All Scoperta materials have been moved/re-organized to occupy the dedicated Scoperta space under the stairs; once exception is a massage chair undergoing robotic conversion; it will follow the new project policy, including paper notices affixed to the chair.
30. Jim's Pressure washer. - REMOVED
31. Sliding compound miter saw (x4) - Done. One donated to ENTS, one stays, one is SOLD.
32. Security system - ??
33. Building automation system - ??
34. Light control system - REMOVED. Jim salvaged and removed.
35. Large steel console. - REMOVED AND RECYCLED
36. Thinner console - ?? Needs KB/mouse wires fixed. - Abandoned, given away to Jorgen
37. Fire alarm equipment - on hold due to the fact that all electrical runs for this system must be in conduit. (needs money from protospace funds or membership for completion)
38. Travis's robot. - REMOVED
39. Tent? - ??
40. Babyfood jars - REMOVED - Correction, found them, Al will take them home, they're next to his shelf). - GARBAGED after sitting for months.
41. Andy's 3d printer. - REMOVED (a month ago)
42. Vacuum pump - Janet, Travis, Circuithacker have expressed interest, will address after Makerfaire.
43. Lever-action drill press. - REMOVED (purchased by Nathan)
44. Couch without cushions on it. - DONE (cushions found and added)
45. Dave/Kevin's CNC Zen Garden. - REMOVED (relocated to member's shelves)
46. Tremaine's server fundraiser - Tremaine is attempting to liquidate. - GONE (??).
47. CNC Plasma cutter - REMOVED. Jim took parts home, Brian donated CNC parts, project to be pitched later.
48. Generator - ??, Jim's, wiring is twitchy, needs diagnosis, fuel cans need to have water removed.
49. Green Compressor - ??, Jim's, broken?
50. James's Multisolvent rebuild. - REMOVED Jim took, will salvage and turn into educational piece.
51. Common Use Computers #1, #2, #3 - Matt sponsors. DONE. ALL ARE INSTALLED
52. Green floodlights - ??

54. Exhaust/fume Fans x3 - ?? Matt dropped off, green/tan/silver. Danny fixed one.

57. Plasma Cutter, Yellow - Mike Morrow sponsors. Needs testing and cord. Fixed. Working minimally. Needs better ground cord.

59. Infrared Heaters - ?? - GONE. Repaired, used, put in junk pile, removed.
60. Copper Tanks x2 - ?? Kevin for planters?
61. Steel Shelving - Jim/Travis/Matt sponsor, waiting on woodshop rebuild.
62. Welding Area Sign - Matt sponsors. - DONE. Welded, cut, backed & mounted on the wall.
63. First aid - James sponsors, need money/donations to fill and restock then will be mounted on wall, also waiting on tetris to be finished in the bay before mounting on the walls.
